"Aquira"  and  "AQUAIRA"

Title: The Birth Story of the Name "Aquira"

AKIRA ENDOU  was born in 1978. In August 1997, he was sent as a young goodwill ambassador to Port de la Selva in the Catalonia region of Spain, sponsored by Rotary Club District 2750. After completing his activities there, he returned to Japan in September 1998.

Before being dispatched, he underwent orientation and training for his study-abroad life, with the cooperation of Rotex (an organization where students who have returned from overseas act as mentors) and Rotarians. Even after returning, he actively continued his involvement with Rotex.

Now, the name "Aquira" was born from a conversation when a fellow participant remarked, "Akira would be Aquira in Spanish," during a trip to Mount Fuji for the orientation. Among the group were friends with international experience, and there was even a humorous exchange about how "the singer Shakira could be your older sister."

Article 1 – Purpose

 

This Policy is hereby adopted for the purpose of safeguarding, preserving, and reinforcing the name, trademark, goodwill, and brand value of Aquira (hereinafter referred to as the “Aquira Brand”). Since its establishment in 1978, Aquira has cultivated and lawfully secured the reputation, authority, and commercial distinctiveness of the Aquira Brand.

 

Article 2 – Proprietary Rights

 

  1. The Aquira Brand, including but not limited to its name, trademarks, service marks, trade dress, logos, proprietary materials, and all associated goodwill, constitutes the exclusive property of Aquira.

  2. All rights, title, and interest in and to the Aquira Brand shall remain vested solely and exclusively in Aquira.

  3. Such rights are recognized and protected under the applicable laws governing intellectual property, unfair competition, and contractual obligations, both domestically and internationally.

 

Article 3 – Restrictions on Use

 

  1. No person, entity, institution, organization, or other body shall make use of the Aquira Brand, in whole or in part, without the prior express written authorization of Aquira.

  2. Any unauthorized reproduction, imitation, representation, or exploitation of the Aquira Brand, whether direct or indirect, tangible or intangible, shall be deemed a violation of Aquira’s proprietary rights, and will be subject to immediate enforcement measures.

  3. Any action—whether intentional or unintentional—that may diminish, dilute, or otherwise impair the reputation, integrity, or commercial value of the Aquira Brand is strictly prohibited.
